Just a thought here- I used to very much look forward to movie award season . . . until this year when I realized the only one I had even seen was Up. So sad my reality has become.

too funny- you really should see Hurt Locker- it is really good. And Avatar was pretty good but I don't think I loved it the way so many other people did.

Don't feel bad. I am a frequent move goer but I still didn't see some of the movies that was nominated by the Academy. Many of the movies that get nominated don't even come to every theater.

I tend to see a lot of movies every year and I've seen at least half of the ones nominated for an Oscar. You could do what I do and go rent the movies nominated for an Oscar that interest you.
