Where are you from?-the thread

Thought this would be a good idea.
This is an Alexa forum so i'm guessing we're all British, but lets narrow it down a bit, but not too far though..we need to look out for internet predators.
They're everywhere, or so i'm led to believe.


I live in Essex, England in a town called Southend on Sea not too far from London. In fact most people here work in London. Anywho, Southend boasts the worlds longest pleasure pier and is the hometown of such hip'happening celebrities as Helen Mirren, Lee Evans and The Horrors.

It is situated on the Thames estuary with a population of around 159,300.

Its an okay place to live, not too towny not too countrysideish.

Well. I live in Sheffield. Near the countryside bit of Sheffield. The town center is ok, not too small, not too big. We've got a supertram.. A hospital that doesn't open at night. Hmm. The colleges are quite good. I was studying music last year and a bit of this year, great music department, also a great Photography and film department too.

I am from the beautiful urban metropolises that is Reading hmm scratch that it's actually quite average really but not that bad we get nice weather down here though.

Reading. <3 I believe that's where one of the only British Microsoft campuses is. I wanted to move there to work for them back when they didn't write really bad software.

I currently live in Alsager. Ironically once home to some of north England's wealthiest, it now has one of the highest crime rates in the area.

A man whose first name begins with T, lives in Alsager and has long hair. Shouldn't take those predators too long to find me. ;]

Heya probably only one here from Czech republic
I live in Brno, it's our second largest city and I like it. We aren't so big as our capital. About 400 thousands people live here. It's good. Center is amazing (lot of shops heh) but some "heads of city" don't care about our history center so it looks bad. I don't live there but in one of the parts of Brno near our reservoir so I live more in "nature".
Hope that's enough...haha

I work from home near Pittsburgh, PA. It works well for me as a mom of three children, ages 10, 8, and 1. However, I would definitely advise parents who want to work at home to develop a plan and a schedule for doing so. Without organization and routine, it’s just about impossible!
